Most people would think that there are just 2 sides of an argument, but actually this is just an over simplified version in standardized televised debates. For these debates to be considered a good one, both “for” and “against” points should have strong arguments about a certain topic. Common topics could be politics, religion, global warming, or other things that are not exactly proven to be an absolute fact.

So how does this relate to Inception exactly? Well to answer that, let me talk about the different perceptions of the mind or how a certain mindset based on what you know (or what people say at the right moment) can change how you think or feel about the same situation.

PERCEPTIONS OF THE MIND

You would notice in the movie that (almost) all of the participants have their own share of (very scary) skeletons in their closets that they were afraid to reveal to their “comrades”.  At first they kept these secrets hidden because they trusted AND not trusted each other at the same time.

They were on the same mission, but their individual motives were different, and they couldn’t trust each other enough not to spill the beans. Not until they were placed in a very dire (deadly) situation where they have to tell each other everything…but it wasn’t that simple.

So I watched the newest sequel to the Twilight franchise, and I have to warn you….. it’s not as terrible as people think it is!

I’m a fan of  the Twilight Saga, but I kind of get why for the most part only Tween fans are raving about it; it’s not exactly Shakespeare or Anne Rice. So if you read to enrich your literature knowledge or something, skip it.

I like to review movies and blockbuster buffs usually agree with my tastes. But with Twilight it will go something like: you like all these cool things but you have to ruin it all and like Twilight!

For the most part I’m confused too….. I mean, why can’t they like it??! LOLOL!

Sure, it’s not the best movie out there, but it’s NOT horrible! I watch movies every week, so I would think I’m a good judge of blockbuster movies. And I definitely won’t say it’s a good film just because I am a fan.

With all the good movies out this year like Iron Man 2, Prince of Persia, A-Team, Toy Story 3, Karate Kid, Knight and Day, etc. (apologies, they are coming out much faster than I can review them =P) I was honestly not looking forward to Eclipse. I mean, I read the book, so I didn’t feel that I would get something new here. But yeah, I should know that Books and Movies are two different things.

And for Twilight, I think you can hate the book, but rave about the Eclipse Movie.

THE BOOK AND THE MOVIE

One of the reasons I am so fascinated by Prince of Persia: The Sands if Time is because of the idea of time travel.

“Releasing the sand, turns back time. Only the holder of the dagger is aware of what’s happened.”

Imagine what you could do with that power; you won’t miss a party for work ever again! (You will be the only one who’ll remember this, but that’s beside the point.) Also, you will never have to suffer (for long anyways), about any sort of humiliation. Just release the sand and tada~ feel free to rinse and repeat!
